Bumblebee is one of the smaller autobots. He is very self-conscious but he has very good qualities. He has a brave and daring nature and won’t back down to anything. He looks up to the other Autobots (especially Optimus Prime) and is well-liked by all.
The Transformers started out back in the 80′s. Since then with the help of technology and innovation in animation and CGI it has certainly improved viewer experience by leaps and bounds. Also since the 80s, there have been much changes and evolutions of the Transformers cartoon and characters. In the old days, the Transformer characters acted more robotic – very little emotions and personality. The recent blockbusters Transformers and Revenge of the Fallen both gave the audience a new way to relate to the characters. Before all the character voices were very flat and stern. There was not much difference in pitch and tone and so you couldn’t really tell the personality or mood of the character. That all changed in the recent movies. You could tell when the characters were excited, angry, intimated, or happy. There was one scene where we even see Bumblebee cry. It add much needed dynamics to the traditional Transformers cartoon.
It is also due to this that the Transformers enterprise have not only revived long lost fans but gain a whole new generation of new Transformers enthusiasts. Transformers action figures began crowding the shelves of toy stores, T-shirts, mask, computer game all with the Tranformers themes begin to go back on sale again. Vintage Transformers collectibles and memorabilia begin to increase in value and pricing. A whole new market was revived. Even Transformers costumes have evolved and now there are actual people building transforming Transformer costumes which look very much like the real thing.
Back then if one wanted to dress up as a Transformer character, one would have to be very crafty and creative using a combination of cutout boxes, and Styrofoam along with a number ingenious items they can thing of. Not to mention what it would cost you in time and money to get all the supplies together. Today all that is done for you. Now there are Transformers costumes that come with props and jump suits that when worn give you a very realistic look. You can strut around in a stylish and comfortable Transformers costume at an affordable price.
So, unless you absolutely have to have a homemade transformable Transformer costume, there are tons of costume sites that offer the officially licensed Transformers costumes. This year the Transformers costumes come in two different styles. There is the more realistic looking one inspired by the movie Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen and also the more animated look from the Transformers cartoons. Both styles have real quality costumes that are much better than the previous versions of these costumes. There are 3 characters available. You have choice between the almighty Optimus Prime, the spunky Bumblebee, or the evil Megatron.
These costumes will be a sure hit amongst young boys, especially the Bumblebee costumes. So, if you are a Transformers fan and want to be “more than meets the eye” this Halloween, go out and get your son or yourself a Transformer costume. There is a recurring problem with costumes every year during Halloween and that is a shortage of stock in sizes and variety. So do yourself a favor.
